What Are The Parts Of The 21G Wheelbarrow Sprayer

It's fun to see the transformation from a patch of dirt to beautiful garden. And for big projects like this, there's nothing better than using our wheelbarrow sprayer! But what are the parts of a 21G Wheelbarrow Sprayer with reel and boom? Let's take a closer look!

1

Translucent Tank with Molded-in Graduations

The 21-gallon translucent tank has molded-in graduations and a large fill opening & lid. This allows you to add the desired amount of liquid while being able to see the levels in the tank. The large fill opening also makes it easier to clean out the tank after use.

The tank is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) which is a chemical resistant plastic that will not rust or corrode. The wall thickness of the tank provides durability and strength yet remains lightweight.

2

100ft Commercial Quality Hose

The 100ft commercial quality hose is kink and abrasion resistant with brass swivel fittings. The hose uses a threaded fitting that allows for quick and easy set-up, without tools.

The hose connection has a shut-off valve that allows you to quickly disconnect the hose from the wand or boom without having to turn off the pump. This is a great feature if you need to empty the tank or make any adjustments while in use.

3

Nozzle

Unlike other PetraTools sprayers, the brass nozzle on the Wheelbarrow is part of the metal wand. It has an adjustable pattern tip that can be set to either a fine mist or a stream. The durable construction of the nozzle ensures years of trouble-free use.

The adjustable nozzle tip gives you the ability to spray anything from seedlings to trees thanks to its manually adjustable pressure of up to 145 PSI. Whether you’re watering delicate plants or blasting away stubborn dirt and grime, a quick twist to the end of the wand allows you to select the stream you need.

4

Mixing Tank

The mixing tank is made of durable polypropylene and is designed to mix liquids and powders quickly and efficiently. The tank has a large capacity and is equipped with a pour spout for easy pouring.

5

Pressure Gauge

The 21G Wheelbarrow Sprayer with Reel and Boom also comes with an easy-to-read, glycerine-filled pressure gauge accurate to +/- 2 PSI. See at a glance how much pressure you’ll have BEFORE you squeeze the valve handle.

The pressure gauge is located in-line, adjacent to the orange pressure control dial and features markings in both PSI & BAR (kPa)

6

Steel Wheels with Mounted Thick Rubber Tires

The steel wheels come with thick rubber tires already mounted, providing excellent traction and durability. The wide footprint of the tires helps to distribute the weight of the sprayer evenly, making it easier to maneuver over rough terrain.

7

12-volt, 36-amp hour battery

The 12-volt, 36-amp hour battery is a beneficial feature that allows you to spray for up to 4 hours on a single charge. It’s maintenance-free and designed for long-term, deep-cycle use.

The battery is located under the black pump assembly housing, and is charged by plugging the included charger into the battery charge port, which is covered by a waterproof rubber cap. It is recommended to charge the battery fully before the first use.

8

1.5 GPM Electric Diaphragm Demand Pump

The electric diaphragm demand pump is capable of continued 1.5 gallon per minute flow. Simply set your desired pressure with the orange pressure control dial, and the pump will turn itself on and off as needed to maintain a constant pressure. And despite being our largest and most powerful pump, it performs quietly and without vibration.

9

Dual Filtration System

Like all PetraTools battery-powered sprayers, the Wheelbarrow features a plastic mesh strainer in the lid. In addition, the Wheelbarrow includes a small filter in the bottom of the tank, and another in-line removable/cleanable filter cartridge that traps all sizes of debris that has made its way into the tank. This prevents clogged hoses, blocked wand nozzle, and other strains on the pump system that can cause premature failures.

10

8-foot Boom Attachment

8-foot Boom Attachment The 8-foot boom features two foldable arms that allow you to cover a large area quickly and efficiently. The boom is made of high-quality material for durability and is equipped with brass nozzles for years of trouble-free use.

The Boom Attachment is available as a separate item, and can be purchased individually or at the same time as the Wheelbarrow Sprayer. It can be stored in the folded-up position when not in use to save space.

Preparing Your Sprayer For Winter Storage

A few simple steps will ensure that your unit will be ready for use when spring finally arrives.

1

Run 2 gallons of warm water mixed with 2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap through the unit to clean all internal parts, then run 1 more gallon of warm water only through. Spray until unit, wand & hose are fully empty.

2

You may plug your Sprayer unit in for constant battery maintenance, or if this is not possible, simply charge fully before storage..

3

Place unit right-side-up in the warmest storage possible. Do not store long-term in temps below 32°F.

4

Storage in its original closed box is ideal, but if that’s not an option, you can cover with a canvas or plastic tarp to protect it.

The solution to this is usually simple. Most problems of this type are due to low battery state of charge. Plug battery charger into a standard 110v outlet and allow to charge for 4-6 hours. Also, unthread the fuse from the control panel & hold up to light to see if the thin wire inside is broken. If it is, replace with the spare fuse we included in the accessories bag. A third issue can be due to the demand-style pump that only functions when pressure drops below the desired setting. It’s possible for the unit to be on & functioning properly, and yet making no sound.
